HoT Iosefin
Second edition of Heritage of Timisoara hosted in Iosefin hood. This was important for me because this is where I grew up and I remember this building since I was very little. What part of it would I remember, what is different...? I've asked this questions many times as I was drawing this postcard illustration of Albert Schott Palace.

For this illustration I've used an interesting technique - parts of the image are transferred from blow-up collages and parts are drawn. The entire picture is held by a vector wireframe also transferred along the process.
The Traian Bridge was never finished as intended because of the war. In this picture, I tried to draw it as it should be using old plans of the bridge. The turtle (which is a unique species in Banat) empathizes the relation between old and new - on the back shell of the turtle there is the map of the old fortress of the town (known for its turtle shape)
KIDS
This entire thought process got my imagination spinning round and round. I think that a good sing letting your inner child just create... I mean isn't the right path for most of us? Anyhow, I've allowed myself to do just that and this is what I got: both illustrations reinterpreted in a "doodle way" for me and all the kids out there.
Remember those first questions? Well, I think in the and I got my answers. I can look at things in many ways, I can imagine things as they should be, or create them if there aren't any. I had those answers all along and this project helped me remember that.
