2019 is the year of the third year of Heritage of Timisoara. This time 5 mini-pre-events will disseminate the vision of the team crafting this beautiful project. It is full of activities, fun and good vibes. The following pictures describe the imagery I've done on these particular events including the process.

The technique I used is stamping with EVA foam and digital interventions.
We found this beautiful vintage front on a street near one of the locations that hold one of the 5 events. We instantly knew that this asks for something with a manual touch. I had an idea about the elements that I would use so the next step was to make the stamps that I would use later on.
After stamping the header, which holds the logo of the project, I've started playing with small (about 6x9 cm) stamps - in simple shapes - until buildings, parks, trees formed an entire landscape, much more like a mind-map in someone's mind.
This poster is manually made on duplex cardstock.
Each event happened in a park and each park had a story to say. No knowing the exact story it's fine because people could interact sharing stories about that place. Starting simply I used recognizable elements - like in this example a foot of a big statue and the stairs. Later on, because the park is way deeper than the street, I've could answer that myself: about 100 years ago that place was an animal fair - so for sanitation reasons the dirt was dug out creating a pool form for the new park.
Cross Park Timisoara -showing the only swing in the park. The big oak tree that everyone knows was cut two years ago
Church Square, currently revised with a lot of single benches. Everybody in the hood knows this knotty tree. When I was little I use to climb on it with my friends.
The most "active" park today in the Balcescu area is Sylva Park. The kids fort in a good place for them to play and not too long ago they added a "Reading box" for everyone. I think it's a good place to let your imagination run away.
Separated textures through monotype - made for backgrounds or second color
Not many locals know this but in Square Vasile Adamachi there is this house right on the corner that is actually the famous bar "Calul Balan". I'm going to let that one for you to discover yourself.
I used the same technique for our T-shirts design. The tactile element was very important in this case and finding the right balance between the shape and the texture was a challenge that I was ready to take on. The digital intervention is present and it still seems right because if there is anything to nudge up the illustration I'm fine with it.
Of course - nothing to overstep the main style.
The illustrations show a detail of the building that inspired the logo of the project.
